A beautiful, listed building with all the external architectural detailing maintained, but which was underused and in need of internal repairs and upgrading. We advised on the development feasibility, so the client was confident to proceed with the site acquisition. We submitted a planning application within 12 days of instruction and gained planning permission first time to convert the office into 4 x 2-bedroom apartments across all 4 floors, which includes a basement level. Located at the heart of Southern on Sea, tucked away from the high street but within walking distance of the university, shopping centre and train stations, it is a great location for new housing.
